Comic goozle?

Two comic book characters. Two universes. Same name.
1) Name the characters
2) Identify the creator of the character on the left.
This will be simple for some. We ask individuals not to post their answers below but to send them via the email on the right.

Here is a recent recording of it by Frank Palermo that is available via creative commons license -- meaning he doesn't mind if you download it, as long as you don't make money off of it, and properly attribute it.

The character in common is Sandman. On the left, it's Neil Gaiman's Sandman (DC Comics). On the Right, it's the villain Sandman, from Marvel's Spiderman comics.

I heart these comic goozles, especially since I am not an afficionado of the genre.
Anyway, I sent my answers to nobody. but, ack! incomplete.
