I regognize names in the first two, but have no idea what I'm supposed to do with that information.

I didn't see this goozzle until today. Dang.

    No N's laughing?
Submitted by Christy at 9/17/2004 10:51:32 AM
    Jim, that's goooooddd.

Is #1 SlytherinGriffindor (Slyther IN Griff In Dor)

If so, 2 then would be Ravenclaw (Rav IN claw)

And Jim's answer would tie it all up.
Submitted by nobody at 9/17/2004 12:25:15 PM
nobody is stumped as to what No N's Laughing (or No one's laughing) has to do with SlytherinGryffindor and Ravenclaw.

#3 (as we envision the answer) definitely is related to the Harry Potter books

Submitted by Christy at 9/17/2004 12:40:44 PM
..well, nothing, specifically...but it'd tie up the other two, I guess. depends on perspective

we do worry some of our quizzes approach the "read our mind" category occasionally, and we know our mind can be slightly twisted.
Submitted by jim at 9/17/2004 1:36:48 PM
3 could be "4 down laughing" == Fall down laughing I guess

When I answered initially, Nobody hadn't posted the entire puzzle, so I was just trying to tie the three together.

    Where's Hufflepuff?
Submitted by nobody at 9/17/2004 3:02:33 PM
We couldn't think of a way to 'draw' hufflepuff. Except perhaps in 'huffle' a puff of smoke, but that would require a paint program and artistic talent.

Speaking of artistic talent, which we have little of, we have created an artistic rendering of #3 that might provide another clue...

We have this strange feeling we're helping someone win something, and if so, we want a cut in any prize...however...

the first one is smoke in your eyes
    the second is coffee break
    the third is mixed company
You're on your own for the last one.

    There you go.

There are many possibilties of course but this is what I think...if they're not correct, hopefully it'll trigger some ideas for the right answers though.

    3.money in my fist
    4. i am positive?.....not really positive about that one

    7.linear mobility
8.don't know...nut it should be IN PATTERN A
    (spelling pattern)
    9. three decimal places
    10. second cousin?
    11. small shave!?

    On 'carzy's list
    2: Freudian slip
    3: accentuate the postive
    4: small shave

Nobody considers this thread over and done with.
If you see a post from someone calling themselves 'Nobody' and trying to continue it, that individual is actually somebody other than Nobody.

If you are part of the Nobody-hive, and wish to continue it, create a new post. If you can't do that, you aren't.
